Just ordered Hawk HP+ pads for the track. They'll be in before TGPR. We'll see how they run on the track. I'm hoping that stomping on the brake peddle will empty my tear ducts from the G-forces.....

L8 posted a good source is Rotary Extreme. They have them for 60 + 12 shipping. I got my rear pads from there and it was cheaper than where I got my fronts from last year.

$85 for the front. I looked around and other places were about the same price. Nothing much cheaper and several places more expensive. Shipping was $11 for 2-day.

Called them.... we'll see. If I get a cancellation email this evening, I'll order from RE. If not, I'll install them on Monday since I'm off work that day.

I tried to tell you guys, RE is the place to go.

And those pads will pull the tears out of your eyes, possibly your eyes out of your head. The first time I really jumped on the brakes, it felt like my brain ended up in the backseat, and then smacked into the front of my skull. They are very grippy, Charlie and Scottie at Mazcare were both surprised, and impressed.

Race pads make all the differance! Even better when serious rubber is placed on the car.
You can brake so late --you get scared!
I am running carbotech panters up front and bobcats in the back --that way I only have to change the fronts for street use--works great--can change pads and all(jacking, taking wheels off and cleaning) in about 40-45 minutes.

Race pads are great, but be careful, if you go too extreme, in the cold, they won't grab, um hard till they get hot. In the winter, I ride the brake in the first few corners, just to get some heat.

Hawk HP+ are a nice compromise. They are grabby cold and work fine at the track. I can't wait to go back to my Hawks. I guess I will do it next weekend and bed them in properly. I love the smell of hot brake pads. It smells like track.

must like the squeal too. that to me is almost as bad as the instant coat of brake dust on the wheels.

My Road Racing friends told me that. They use HP+ for their car. She told me to make sure I got them nice and hot before needing to use them.
