To RXEighter, my apologies, this seems to always happen. The next one I put on, you are welcome, at a reduced rate, due to the frustration. I will eat the difference myself. Or, if you come to RA in march, I will make sure I am your instructor, if that is what you want. I am not the best, but I tend to come recommended by everyone who has had me. Either one, your choice, to make this up to you.

To TA, I didn't want to make you the bad guy, but everyone here has an endearing respect, which I don't carry, because I haven't met, or gotten to know all. It wasn't that I wanted to make you the bad guy, it is because you command respect from this group.


Everyone, I am siked, I met with Steve last night, and he too is SIKED. Everyone rest, be well, and relax before Saturday. You are going to have a blast, I can't even begin to tell you how much you are going to learn.

 

Well it's not what you're thinking by any means. I havent bought a 3rd gen yet. I did run across a guy selling his toy project and decided to take it off his hands. It's a 79 rx7 with a 351 windsor ect....it was made not only to be a straight line race car but to handle like a dream. He did alot of custom fab work to get the ratio right. I'm going to take it to the scales and find out just how close he got to the good ol 50:50

I might just have to go down there if no one else claims the spot.

 

To everyone here in Georgia that is going to TGPR. Charlie has offered to open the shop up on the Friday afternoon to everyone, or Thusrday if that works best, right before we head off to TGPR. He asked that I let everyone know, and get an idea of what day and waht time everyone might be interested in getting together over there. So let me know what you guys think.

 

You should come down on Friday, and take the slot, and just hang out on Saturday.

What day's are those? Two weeks? I'm going to bust down the whole car and have everything cleaned, re lubed, and re painted. Oh and retuned...I though the 8's ran rich

How many spots are open? My dad would like to bring the s2k down I'm sure.

 

i think there are two open for Friday. Possibly one for Saturday, if AC8 does not jump on it.

If anyone is interested, we could have an online chat within the next couple of weeks which would give everyone a chance to get any questions about the event answered directly. I could host it and TA and STF could moderate it if they wished. Good idea or not necessary?

 

i think that would be a great idea, even if we could just get everyone on IM, you can do large group chats there too.

I spoke with the track owner today, and after a 'heated', but civil conversation, I found out we don't have the 21st, despite my phone calls, and attempt to send 'all' the money.

Basically, we got our wires crossed, and he either wrote down the wrong date, or I misunderstood. He had someone walk in and pay for the day, and I bet paid full price, which was 50% more than we were paying.

He said we could have the 14th or 28th of Jan, if you guys / gals want to do this.

I HATE THIS HAPPENED, but it was out of my hands. In hindsight, I should have sent the deposit that day, but I like to send all the money, and having rented from him 5x+, I wasn't worried about getting the rug pulled.

For what it is worth, the checks on are not cashed, so let me know if you want them back, or if you want to try to do another day.

Again, my apologies, but I am not sure I could have done anything to avoid this, short of handing all the money over in person.

I can do either alternative date. I definately want to do this event. I would rather do the 14th since the Daytona race is on the 28th.
