As listed, I am in for the 28th. Like TA, I am going into shock, loosing sleep at night, and dreaming of hairpin corners, long straight aways, and skidpads. On my way to the office, I pullled off a beautifull 4-2 downshift, great rev match, and I am still grinning. Gotta get some track.

I will be changing the hotel reservation, so that should be no trouble.

 

Yep, I'm in for that weekend too.

This kind of reminds me of that time we went down there with Ken and those guys a couple of years ago, STF. We were down there and almost lost the day to Harley-Davidson. Somehow or other STF managed to convince the guy to let us run anyway.

the 28th is what I was told by TA. I have changed my reservation at the Hampton to be for the night of the 27th.

 

It will be the 28th. STF told me he is going to speak to the track owner and lock in the date by sending him the money rather than rely on a verbal agreement. What happened with our original date was the track owner agreed to rent us the track at a good discount. Then someone came along and wanted our date and paid up at the full price. The owner took the money.

I know we are going to have a great time on the 28th. Just have to delay the gratification 1 more week...

Yes, WRX Boy (Bill Usher) is still in. Can we bring spectators? Someone who is there just to watch and hang out, but not drive?

I still want to do the group chat, so that I can ask a few of the questions I have.

I am guessing we need to set up run groups, since to my understanding, only 3 cars are allowed on the track at once. Which is tough with 10, kinda hard to put part of a car out there.

 

I agree. Run groups would be good to help maximize everyone's track time. As you pointed out, there will be one extra driver and that driver should be the most experienced. Is anyone running Saturday solo approved? I know TA could probably run solo if he wanted to but I don't know the experience levels of everyone else.

Based upon past experience, there will be such an abundance of track time that there won't always be 3 cars on the track. At some point during the day, you're going to decide either you need a rest or the car needs a rest.

The extra driver could float from run group to run group depending on when he or she wants to go out.

Run group 1 could be the least experienced. Group 2 could be the drivers with a little more experience and group 3 the most experienced. Run twenty minute sessions and if we start at 8am and end at 5pm, everyone gets at least 9 sessions over the course of the day. That's 3 hours of track time. Like I said, at some point there's going to be someone who says me and my car need a break. Remember, we don't have to close the track for an hour at lunch. The track can stay open all day.

Just throwing it out there as a possible way to organize the day.

 

Guys I was asking for a spot but I dont know if I will be able to make this. So if someone else wants my dibs --go ahead. Waiting on wheels and tires etc. BUT March will not be far away and everyone here had better be there! That has the possibility to have the greatest turnout we have ever had. Hey STF maybe you will have your 8 by then!

With the exception of silver, and WRX boy, only cause I don't know him, I think the rest of us have at least one track event under our belt. But I would be happy to run in Group 1, since TA and others run circles around me everywhere else. I don't mind. I can admit that I am fairly new to this sport, and am willing to learn.
