Has anybody tried to organize an rx8 meet yet? I bet we could pull a good one together...any ideas or thoughts?

 

we've done a few in Miami, nothing big just a small get together

Also, there have been a few in FT. Lauderdale

 

I'm thinking we should try and organize one in orlando. Thats mostly the best central location. I'd imagain we could have a pretty good size meet! I know that the supra guys had one down there about a month ago and it was pretty bad ***. I can talk to the guy who organized it*he's a good friend of mine* and see what i can get as far as a place to meet and the dyno and what not. We could do an rx8/350z/S2K kinda meet. I donno..just playing with ideas..

 

Orlando is good for me! We tried to have one over spring break, but half of us were out of town and blah blah...so I didn't get to go I'm down for trying again. Are you going to head this meet up, Morgan?

I don't know what others feel about getting 2000/350s there...whether they wanna do just 8s, or mazdas or only rotaries, etc. All i know is there are too many Zs around here. Us 8 owners will be outnumbered and will feel insignificant heh..

 

I'll go to Orlando.. Anyone else from Tampa up for this?

 

Yup! I'll deffinaly head this up!! Not a problem! I do agree though about maybe just doing mazdas...I think that now since school is setteling down, we can manage to pull something great together. let me talk to some of the boys from here that did the Supra meet, and we'll get this thing started...How about we start calling off who would be interested and when would be a good day. Obvisouly I'm in...and I think a weekend sometime in mid. april would be good.

 

hey that would be like a cool idea, I know there is a s2k/nsx meet first weekend of april. Some of us are going to that so I we can scope out and see what they are doing too. I kinda like the idea of a 350z/Rx7/8/S2k/Supra etc meet. Maybe do a day at islands of adventure or something.

 

I'm in as long as we set a date soon so I can plan accordingly. Just keep us posted =)

 

Ok--So far this is some of the feedback i've recieved from friends and rotary people...
1. it should be an all rotary meet
2. It should deffinatly be in orlando
3. The only non-rotary "allowed" should be cars like vipers, lambo's, etc. (This doesn't really apply to anybody on this board though seeing how you're included in rx8 forum and what not, so regardless what you drive, you are allowed to come.)
4. I'm thinking along the lines of april 24 *it's a sat* so that way we have all day there, and meeting up sometime around 10am-11am if i can manage to get a days events set up.

*If any of you are on any other rotary forum, please post about this on there too. I tried to register with the rx7 forum, but it won't let me... *

 

Hey guy123 if you wanna meet up and drive out together let me know. I'd like to have someone to follow im not too keen on directions and I live pretty close to ya. =)

Ahhhh...Zsak's got my back.

Sounds like a great idea. Had a large meet in Ft. Lauderdale...over 40 rotaries from 1st to 3rd gen, RX8, some RX2's and RX4's. We had a dyno day, BBQ and went to SpeedSource to see the race prepped RX-8's that were in Daytona.

If you plan on Orlando, many will come for sure. The 350Z club is pretty strong in Central Fl and they would come out in droves, I counted 28 of them at Sebring this past weekend.

 

Common Evot..I showed a little love! hehe. Yea..orlando will be the best spot. I guess we should start a roll call to see how many people can make it on the 24th of April.

 

I will contact the MRCCFL region for the date and post. I can post on the rx7club.com forum and the nopistons.com forum.

I can be there April 24.

 

Sounds good. I know only the bigger parts of Orlando.. Don't have the DVD NAV either.. I think we could get a couple more people from this area to go though. Big convoy of 8's going down I4..

I've started a Mazda Graphics website to post wallpaper's, pictures and artistic works. Below is a small version of a wallpaper I've created, so I won't have to stare at Windows logos all day on my monitor. It will be located at http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/mazdagraphics/
and will contain no negative vibes. Yippeeeeeee!

sounds good to me, hopefully we wil all get to know each other pretty good tonite. I could always just say that my s2k is just an rx8 that i converted to a vert lol.
