Okay drivers...

The website now has a "Details" and "Caravans" subsection for the Orlando thingy. I need INPUT when you can send it. I'll fill in the caravan info as soon as I have it.

I'll see if I can find those convention name badges for everyone. I'd hate to spend the entire meet asking, who are you? who are you? and who are you? Know what I mean?

I'll print up some voting sheets if ya'll want to pursue this activity. We could just have one category of Best All Around, or get more in depth with Best Sounds, Best Shine, Best Wheels....yadda yadda yadda. Prizes....well, I may have time to provide one....I'll see what I can do.

I think itd be cool to do little awards but I think theres going to be way more modded 7's than 8s and Im sure theyd steal the show. But some kind of activity would be neat. Wonder if we could get a local radio station involved and arange a bikini contest!!!! that would rock!! But i think im just dreaming now.

 

id actually be more interested in this being a "social meet" rather than a "car show". everyone is worried about their cars when there are prizes or trophies around.....

thats just my .02 though. not like i wont come if there are awards....

Count me in! I am in the Air Force stationed at Robins AFB south of Macon, but I am a central Floridian as I grew up in Brandon and Orlando. Haven' really done anything to my 8 yet, but hoping to at least have my 12" sub installed by then.

Looking forward to the fun in the sun.

As it stands right now yes I am, but being in the Air Force I have to say that if something comes up I won't be able to. My mom will be able to keep the kids occupied and my wife and I will come out for some fun. Only two things though...I have to get my sub installed before then and more importantly I have to get my front end fixed where some kid on a bike smashed in the fender. Just under $2500 to fix it. The left headlight assy is $863 by itself. Atlanta meets would be closer, but I have no ties there like I do for Central FL! See ya on the 24th.:D

Air Force RX8--Don't ever put me and "go gators" in the same sentance! hehe! I went to school with steve spuriers son and he dropped a rock on my head, and since then, i've hated the gators...GO NOLES!

Razpewton: I'm feeling a little better everyday..thats part of the reason why i've been so inactive on the boards lately...But I should be better by the meet! hehe!

I'm glad to see everybody being so glad i've started this....Now we just need to finalize everything..and i'll be stress free...atleast until the 24th!

Sorry to hear about your run-in with "rocky", but usually a blow to the head knocks sense into a person not out of them...wonder why it made you like the prison farm team? LOL :p At the end of the day it's all just a game.

Driven: The MRCCFL has offered to cater the BBQ if you all would like.

From the officer:

"It would be BBQ pork, rolls, potatoe salad, chips, beans, salad and drinks for the day. $5 per person will cover our costs."

MRCCFL would only charge money to cover cost of food. They will also bring a trailer, a rotary engine in pieces for display (in case anyone hasn't seen the insides of a rotary...unfortunately most all of us FD guys have..ugh).

What do you all think? May be easier than getting Sonnys, the food will be cooked all day long so you can eat when you like.
