FL MEET! APRIL 24th! ROLL CALL!
evot23...could you post screen names to those real life names. This is gonna get confusing. LOL
Pinhy and Driven....I think ya'll ore both on the same track, but in different trains. Yes...I have the Renesis desk top thingy and the RX-7 rotor and housing. They will both be given away as doorprizes this Saturday. I believe the plan was, Driven will be having a few words with the drivers at around 11:30ish and then we will pull names from a fishbowl that I'm bringing. Names will be filled out on slips I'll be printing up. After the doorprizes have been drawn, folks can start grouping up for visits to the Race Rock cafe for lunch.
There will also be a registration form at the Meet for those in attendance to fill out and name tags. It will have the following fields, Name, Screen name, email address, car info, phone or cellphone number and point-of-origin. Of course, none of it is mandatory...we just want to keep track of everyone and let them know should we ever do this again.:D
Take LOTS od pictures!! Event pictures will be posted on the website. Email any pictures you want posted to webmaster@mazdanow.com.
There will be event T-shirts for sale and possibly freebie handouts for Meet Drivers. Keep in mind....Race Rock IS a tourist attraction on International Blvd. There will probably be a LOT of tourists there. The name tags will differentiate the drivers from the tourists. LOL
A word of caution...even though we'd like to believe we live in a perfect world where everyone is trustworthy and honest, we don't. I suggest we eat lunch in shifts. Check out this thread recently posted by D Menac 7:

Let's cover each other's six. With that said, I'm sure this will be the SOCIAL EVENT OF THE YEAR! (at least, I know it will top MY list of activities for the year....LOL)
BTW...who is staying overnight in Orlando? 5 days left!!

Here is some more information on some sponsors of the club and this event, I need some opinions on the following (this is a quote from my other post in the SE Forum):
"We will need to appoint someone to handle the funds for this reason though:
I am recieving a check from my dealership for $300 this is to sponsor the club, not just this one event, so what I had in mind for this is to take $100 of that and give it to Raz for the shirts, this will bring the price of the shirts down to $5, then take $100 of it and purchase couple door prizes ( to be announced soon) for this meet, and then take the last $100 of it and create an account for the club to have some funds for the next big meet.
Now the $5 for the shirts includes $4 to pay back Raz for his purchase and $1 to go towards the club account. This way if we decide to have a big meet later in the year we will have some funds to work off of for shirts, tents, banners, etc...
Please let me know if you believe this is a good idea, if you want to just have event coordinators then I will gladly handle the funds for the club, if you would like to check my credibility, please go to the FL Cougar club via the link above in my first post and ask anyone there, or check out the transaction feedback section of the same site, or you can check my ebay history(user name: jcgrim) or feel free to give me a call at 386-344-0675. Each time we have a large meet we can do a little thing like the shirts to help raise a little money for the next meet. I will be glad to provide financial statments as often as you want. We are not talking $1000's of dollars here just a few hundred if that.....What do you think.
Sorry asking for all the opinions but I think it is the only fair way, to be open and honest with everyone, becuase it is our money and our club!"
Please post an opinion in this thread or the other one.
Thanks
James

I have some "bad" news to announce at the meet...but it's nothing really bad...just some stuff i need to address. Don't worry your little minds though.
Anyhoo--I'm looking forward to all this!!
UCF BABES!!!!! I have a SLIGHT request of you..
Do you guys mind getting to Race Rock around 930 to mark off a fairly large section for our cars?? I'll love you forever and give you all very big hugs! (unless your gf's are there of course...hehe) I figure, us G'ville people should be there around 945ish..so e'll help direct people in the right direction and such, we just need to make sure we can mark off enough room for about 60 cars??? Thanks boys!
