There are only two spots left for the Smoky Mountain Mansion at $120 per person for 2 nights. All 16 people who have pre-registered thusfar, has booked the Smoky Mountain Mansion. That will leave the 10 spots available for the Treetops at $80 for two nights.

Soooooooooooooooo....if you're sitting on the fence, JUMP!!

If we have MORE to register than we have accomodations for, we will rent another Chalet, but probably not as eloquent as the Mansion.

 

Wow it seems this thing is really gaining some momentum. Let me first say that those of you "thinking" about coming need to quit thinking, it will just make you tired and possibly cause you to miss the best roads of your life! People travel from other countries just to ride this road for heavens sake so 10, 12, 14 hours is more than worth it!!!

I also want to apologize for not being more involved here lately but I have been busy at home packing as we are moving this week. The wife and young uns had to have room for their horses, so we bought some land a few miles from our current home (excellent twisties on the way to the new home now!!!!).

I for one am definately coming but will most likely commute to make things easier on the wife. It also gives me an excuse to make another pass on the dragon on the way home. The wife gets car sick so she definately will not be coming and yes as some pointed out, those prone to car sickness should stay home, period paragraph. My brothers wife has officially been nicknamed "fish food" after her only trip with me over the Dragon.

As far as what to know about the Dragon again, go to www.tailofthedragon.com, they have a tips for newcomers section and though it is tailored to motorcyclists the advice carries over very well. I can bring a DVD I have up the night everyone arrives and you can see 3 bikes make a high speed run of it for kicks...just an idea.

Anyway, if you event organizers need any help locally I will be more than happy to get involved and help out any way I can. I can't wait.

Yeah as per mapquest its 13 hours from NJ, but guy said it was only 8 hours.....hmmm....... I am very interested in this. I am in Nashville, and have ran the Dragon before on an RC51 & a CBR600 F3 Smokin Joe. I am able to be there if it is a Thursday &/or Friday. Otherwise, I am a no go, as work has already closed any chance for vacation from now until November.

I only briefly scanned through the 5 pages of posts,but didnt see anything about a specific time.

Edit: Sorry, I totally missed that all of it was in the first post. Not sure how... Anyways... I guess I am a no go. I could be up on Friday & leave early saturday morning, but I am not sure that will work with the plan. I may still come up for Friday & just drop by & run with everyone & head back.

 

Im in Orange Park. Its about an 8 or 9 hour drive (depends if u r a low flier or not). I thought I saw a couple people from down here write a post. But I dont know how many people are going.
