This one is already a success. Our last one we closed registration at 120. I'm at 105 right now, and I cannot believe what is lurking around saying, "let me in... let me in..." Should make it a lot of fun.

We met a couple at the track - he drives a Z she drives an Rx8 -- I think they may be coming....

 

Are they from Charlotte? I may know them.

 

Do you know Jay & Diana? I think they are from Florida...

Hoping TA scrubs off those RA1's and brings the 8.
If so, we should have a nice GaRx8 club paddock with 6 Rx8's and my track ho miata.

I have the banner and the canopy.
Swoope is always good for some refreshments!
We have a hospitality suite Fri and BBQ sat.
Prelim weather looks absolutely tasty, and we should have some great kids from the charity to talk cars with, and give some track rides out.

This is gonna be a long week to wait!

Was thinking of leaving around that time, but I never know for sure. We would have to pick a place to meet somewhere not in the city on a Fri.

 

The exit off I-75, just past I-675. Can't remember the name of it, is perfect because you will be coming out of Atlanta on I-75 and I will be coming from around 285 on I-675 and throw a hook out and grab OD on the way by Macon.

 

Well this morning my career took a turn in the wrong direction. After 19+ years, I was laid off. I get my final paycheck through today + my accrued vacation (just under 2 weeks worth) via FedEx tomorrow. I'll deposit it in the bank tomorrow as well before the sucker bounces.
Unfortunately, this means I will not be making it to Savannah for this event. I know you will all have fun. I will be with you in spirit.

Sorry to hear the bad news. I've been through it before ... however, I had ample warning.

I think TA should still come out and be with us - in good company... having a good weekend - before going out looking for a new career...

One of the things I've always liked about TA is he thinks of his family first. He will be back as soon as he gets his house in order. You will be with us man.

 

TA -- I would say I got ya covered for the w/e but I know theres more to this than the money. My hospital laid off over 200 people last week. Damn country is going to hell. I'm ok but a lot of people I have known for yrs arent.
