how much would it cost to change my auto rx8 to a 6spd. i would like answers for keeping the same engine and just doing the tranny, or getting the 6 port rotary and tranny. if you are wondering why i bought a new rx8 auto, its because i got an unbelievable deal on it and figured i could swap it and still have the total cost be cheaper than the average new rx8. please reply, i am looking to get this done here in the next few months.

No one here has ever done that because it would cost less to sell the A/T and buy a 6-speed. There is just too many things to change.

 

Looks like you make a wrong guess about the swap. Haha

 

Too many things needed to swap that it will cost quite a bit to do it. It'll end up being more than a new 6-speed for sure unless you bought a salvaged auto.
