im in fort lauderdale fl on vacation now. ill be moving here for school in about 4 weeks. i will be attending the art instute of fort lauderdale fl. Im really pissed off i just got to fl about two hours ago and my dealer called me in nj and said that my winning blue gt 6 speed rx8 is in when can i pick it up. which really sucks beacuse i wont be back to nj till the 17th.

well congrats on the car maybe we can set up a meet of all rx8s or something.

ps are there any race tracks to race cars around here. beacuse in nj we have e town which is one of the most known race tracks on the east coast.

 

Well Seabring is a couple hours North of Fort Lauderdale if you are looking for a road course. I know there are a couple autocross clubs in town as well but I have never gone to one. My co-worker auto crosses his s2000 and miata, I can get more info for you if you like.

 

i dont want to trouble u but if u can get info that would be great.

eveyone tells me about the races on 27 but i dont street race i only race on the track where it really counts.

 

Dont forget Morosso speedway has a strip and a course, and not too far. Also Homestead speedway opens to the public on ocasion for racing.

 

And once in awhile, there's some autox events held at the MetroZoo. Street racing is not worth it, and I don't care how clear the streets may look down here... there always seems to be a cop lurking.

 

I wont get into my feelings about street racing, suffice to say I do not aprove.

Take it to the ttrack, dont kill anybody, and have fun.

 

Congrats on the 8! Gunther Mazda, eh? Well, I'm sure you had a good experience with them... who was your salesman? I had several weeks of gettin jerked around courtesy of Hector. Never shopping for a car there...again.

i got my rx8 in nj not gunter mazda but i have to deal with them for service hopefuly there good there.

 

I'm in North Broward, near Coral Ridge, beach side of the intracostal. I saw my first RX-8 (other than mine of course) over the weekend, we passed each other on Federal. I honked, he didn't see me :P

My salesman was Larry. He sold me my miata and had a good experience with him then, so I went back to him for the 8.

Around where did ya see the other car? I was up there driving around all weekend just in pure bliss, so I apologize if it was me. Was it a titty gray with spoiler? If so, prolly me. But like what time/place?
