but you went with the R3, nice. how are the seats?

I love them. But I can see how people could hate them with exaggerated side/hip bolsters and no height adjustment. I get in carefully so I don't crunch the left bolster over time. They really hold you in there, and I like.

I would say go to the dealer and try them out, but FWB doesn't have any RX8s, let alone R3s. Pcola should still have two R3s. If you see me around, honk. I've only passed 3 RX8s in FWB since I got mine.

Are you, or anybody else going to the car show at the Armament Museum next Saturday? I entered the DeLorean in it last year, but this year I'll just go as a visitor.

 

i haven't heard anything about it, but i'm going to be out of town, so i won't be there. but when i was in orlando i sat in an R3 and i loved the seats as well, i just sat in it and the lady working there got all pissed off and came out there hassling me. i told her i had an '04 and she asked if i had messed it up or something. rude people i swear, but yea i'm curious to see what it's like driving. i tested a new one in fwb, just not the R3. it was a grey one, but that was a while back ago. sounds a little beefier.

 

The Armament Musuem show was last weekend. There was one RX8 there representing a rim shop.

Quality Imports only had one 2009 that I know of, it was silver and was sitting on their lot for almost a year. I sat in it too. I guess its the reason they gave up on the RX8s all together. It was a sport model, automatic .

Still haven't seen any green RX8s around. I'd like to do a swap test-drive...I wanna see how the pre-09s compare. I just hit 1,000 miles in mine...aww, and received my quart of Idemitsu premix that I'm gonna try out for a while.

 

yea, that would be cool, i have an upgraded clutch on it, but i test drove a silver one and it was manual, it must have sold after i drove it, but yes, i haven't seen any more on the lot

 

Hello Everyone.... I'm a new RX8 R3 owner and wouldnt mind getting into the mix of things in the area.

 

Are you in Pcola? Where did you get your R3?

 

Yeah I'm In pensacola... I Got it At sandy Sansing... This car is such a pleasure to drive and I find myself looking for a reason to go driving it LOL...

I was at Sandy Sansing on Oct 2nd about to buy the black R3 they had. Yours was sitting right next to it. They didn't come off the price enough so I went to Dean McCrary Mazda in Mobile and bought a red R3. I haven't seen any R3s besides my own since. And only one '09 at all, it was a white sport model. These little cars are rare.

 

So is there any local get togethers coming up?

Hmmm. Im missin my 8 still deployed in Iraq. I'll be back on the streets in August lol. But Im looking for a SC or Turbo, or just trade up to an R3 and wait off on Boost.... any suggestions to keep my mind busy while i miss my baby?

 

I sent you a link to read to start down the road; there is another boosted 8 in Eglin area; I started tuning it when I was in PC for 1st Class School.

I tend to get back down in that area once every year or two - who knows I may be back again when you're shopping.

 

You guys want to get a meet together sometime after the holiday? Maybe the weekend of new years?

 

If you guys do get together soon and want a little diversity but keep it in the family, I'd like to stop by and see whats new with guys rides and bring the new 2010 mazdaspeed3 i picked up and maybe a few of the other speed guys.

so does anybody know where i can get an OEM bumper? mine is getting all kind of screwed up and i wanted to get the MS front bumper but it's just a little costly. btw, yes another meet would be golden.
