Anyone else still waiting!!?

Was wondering if anyone else had ordered an RX-8 since they
hit the dealerships in early July.

I ordered mine in July and am starting
to freak-out because I can't get any info from the dealership on
the ETA nor can I get any info. from the Mazda Orders 800 number or email address.

Orderd in July and still don't have it??..........I got one after 4 days of car shopping......must be a special order. 8's are great cars, but not worth waiting this long for!!

Yeah...special order. I wanted the car with exactly what I wanted it to have. So now I have to suffer!

You must've got options that couldn't be changed or added to a car en route. Suffer you must.

Nah. This is rediculous. No way you should still not have your car. If you haven't already, you're way past due to get with rx8 orders of Mazda North American Operations (MNAO). The email is rx8orders@mazdausa.com and the phone number is 1-800-222-5500.

Nothing is that special to have to wait this long. My guess is that your dealer bites.

Thanks a lot Racer X-8!

I emailed mazda orders and they send me an email back saying we don't have any info. for you so we're going to call the dealer (I'm FREAKING out!!). They email me again saying there's no update info from the dealer, but a sales ref# and then they write "it is not unusual to wait 12 weeks for a car"!!!!!!!

So, I call the 800 # and they tell me, sorry, no new dates, just my order date is on file. But wait, we do have a VIN # which means it
is going into production "very soon".
At least now I have a number they can track for me.

Good, keep on them until you are successfully entered in the mazda database. They actually had to get the district manager on my dealer. Seems sometimes like dealers just can't do anything right except promise you the right things - just enough to get the sale, then, that's it, they're done with you - time to collect your money. Time to offer the good old extended warranty & those service plans...for even more money. Don't ever think they want to be your buddy, your friend, they're gonna make sure everythings gonna be alright. Don't. YOU make sure everything's gonna be alright for YOU, as best you can. MNAO is on your side a lot more than your dealership "buddy". Don't forget that.
