Cool. I was thinking of renting a truck or borrowing one from my neighbor. Car to carpool or rent a 2-car trailer?

I just picked up a transponder and display timing system. We can play on track and get some idea of how we're doing. We can move it car to car if you want. I'll bring it to CMP as well.

Wonderful to hear. It'll be good to see him again. Anything special we're going to witness with his car?

Silver---let me know if I can be of help with the install. I have a few little tricks.
Number 1--go ahead and buy the steel braided line for the oil pressure gauge(it comes with vinyl). the one that comes with the gauge is going to leak sooner or later. Summit racing has them. You need the 4ft one. Get better light bulbs for the gauges than what comes with those sport comps.

Just let me know when you get them--maybe I can come up and help with the install.

OD, you gotta deal my friend. I suspect they should be in by next Friday but it could be as late as the following Wednesday. If you are serious, then I would say lets do it Saturday the 20th. I don't have a garage to do it in though. Maybe I should come down to Macon? Unless someone here has a place we could work? Anyone between Macon and Road Atlanta got a place we could turn a wrench? Hell we could have a tunner session for the hell of it. I'll supply the beer!

How do I know what lights to get?

I just got my new Summit catalog in yesterday so I'll see if I can find what you are talking about. If you know where it is in the catalog, give me a little more details of what to look for. I'll go ahead and order ASAP. OD, You-da-man!

MoodDude: I will never catch up to you. It will ALWAYS be watching you come around again.

Well - as for on track - you probably will catch me one day as you seem to be on a steep learning curve. I think we all saw you improve from the start of Barber to the end!

I am talking about the Mod addiction, you will probably catch me when they come out with a reliable FI for the 8.

the 20th is good--send me a reminder(like I would need it) let me know where--welcome to bring the family to my house in Macon if you like--we can work on it here or someplace else. Just let me know.
the light bulbs are 194's, they are clear. The sport comp gauges have around the dial lighting--meaning you need some brightness if you plan on adding any color at all to the lights in the gauges. The gauges come with either red or green gelcaps that fit over the bulbs. The red ones match the 8's night lighting. I had to buy some "brighter" 194 bulbs from Pep boys(think they were about $3) in order to get the light i wanted.
The picture you posted looks like all the parts are not there. There are two adaptors that go between the sending units and the gauge --make sure they are included.
looking forward too this--fellow gauge man

Is this the adapters you are talking about?
" To facilitate the assembly process, each kit includes the Racing Beat Oil Pressure and Temperature Adaptor (PN 11803), and the Water Temperature Adaptor (PN 11493)."

This will be fun. I'll document it with photos and make a thread on it over in the Georgia Forum.

BTW,

I've talked to the manufacturer about a group discount for these for our small group of trackers. Anyone interetsed in tire totes? I can bring them to RoadA.

Depending on the price, I'd be interested.

MSRP is 19.95 for a box of two. Two boxes for a full set of 4. Depending on the number, (10 people who want them), we can get them for 15/box.

Maybe if you call the coupon tire holders, than you probably would get all of us to buy them!
