Too expensive. I won't be able to mod them for a while anyway. Seems the 370z is the most economical choice (besides another Rx8).

Dude that absolutely blows! Hopefully everything works out in your favor.

As far as picking another car....you'll still get beat at autoX no matter what.

For a BMW I might be able to hook you up. I work at a BMW dealership over in Naples...unless it was just way over your budget

I just don't want to spend anymore than $27k...As it is the Rx8 is paid for and I was REALLY happy for the last 2 years with no payment and now I have to get into a payment again. Just sucks butt!

I was looking at 2006 E46 M3's but they want too much money for them considering the mileage and the regular 3 series are just not aggressive looking for me (I.E. boring looking).

A past rx8 driver and good friend of mine Diandra (itsdidihi) has a Genesis now and she loves it. She does miss the Rx8 a lot, but she does love her Genesis so hey, doesnt hurt to look into that (and they're affordable)

None of those options would provide the driving characteristics I would get in a BMW and would be more expensive then going with a 370Z so it would be a waist. I want to track the car.

I hated that car with a passion! I tried out the 2013 2.0 Turbo with 274 HP and it was pig slow but more importantly it was boring to me. No excitment factor in the way it handled nor drove nor in the looks department.

Yeah dude but that thing was utter disappointment! I literally felt I was dragging an ankor. Even with my 400 lbs friend in the Rx8 it felt more fun to drive then the same senerio in the Genesis and the Genesis has 260 ft/lbs. What the F! I was shocked.

The v6 though is a really nice engine...love it...wish a more exciting car was wrapped around it though.

Don't know if you have time to wait, but what about the Subaru BRZ? Fully loaded at $27K...

I was thinking about it but I am not too fond of the Subaru's looks. However, the Scion looks good. With that said...Power sucks more than the Rx8. Why would I want a slower car? I know it will handle awesome but I simply won't do it.

I cannot justify that money for a slower car. Supposed official times are 0 to 60 in 5.9 sec (which is on par with a stock Rx8...Im not stock) and 1/4 mile time of 15.3 sec (much slower than the Rx8's time).

They can keep that car...too bad...I was thinking it would be better since it is lighter.

It's not that I don't like them...I just wish they didn't look so Econobox turned into Godzilla'ish. Know what I mean? Plus they tend to feel like joysticks...The car does everything you tell it no matter how unrealistic but it takes away from the drivers experience of driving and being in control. Instead you rely on computers to get the job done.

The newer ones are just plain ugly. The older Evo's from the early 2000's were not bad on the eyes but still wouldn't really fit my bill. Then again...never driven one so everything I just said could be a load of BS.

So the Forgestars might need to be sold as well

They won't fit any of the cars I'm looking at.

Just throwing this idea out there....E36 ///M3? Parts are cheap. (I'll hook you up on parts) Fun to drive. Decent price range. Being on the east coast, Active Autowerke is there for all your tuning needs. And a turbo adds AWESOME horsepower gains!

I love Bimmers but only the most expensive ones with v8's...LMAO!!! Seriously, they can be made to be unstopable on the track but I needed more of a daily driver that I could use on the track with warrantee so I don't have to stress in the beginning. Eventually, I will go mod crazy again...Prob sooner then later.

I decided to get the 370 Z...the Rx8 is a better handling car but it does not mean I cannot get the 370 there with suspension mods. I hear it needs more negative camber and widers tires in the front. Plus an oil cooler to fix the oil overheating issues when tracked as well as a fuel starvation mod.

I normally don't give a rats butt about gas mileage but the Z gets much better mileage which will yeild a lower cost of ownership in that respect over another Rx8. Perhaps that will free up more $$$ for mods.

I look forward to seeing all of you at the track! You all or AOK in my book! I'll stop by time to time to call you names N stuff.

If anyone is interested in buying the Rx8...Please PM me and I will send you a link to the craigslist. I decided not to part out as carmax offered to buy the car as is but if I get a higher bidder in the next 21 days then ding fries are done.

Can someone send me the auto-X info for this weekend? I'll bring the car for everyone to see.

Good luck dude! Unfortunately I won't be able to make it. I'm already taking tomorrow off of work to go diving. Hopefully next time I'll be able to go.

On a side note, I ordered a 4' x 2' sheet of carbon fiber wrap (I promise not to rice it out). Planning on doing the door pillar and some interior pieces. Ill take pics to show how it comes out.
