midpipe of any kind = cel.
the only thing you can do is get a Cobb AP and use that to "mask" the cel code so that code alone wont make the light come on.

i heard putting electrical tape over the light makes it go away lol. I just get my codes checked when i go to autozone to buy oil or if the car acts up. It isnt too much of a big deal.

There are also adapters that make the o2 sensor sit further from the midpipe but those are hit and miss. Cobb is the way to go or a high flow cat...

it wont work since its still the same exhaust gasses, your cel would turn on and off at best. cobb is best bet as high flow cats burn out rather quickly

Correct with a correction

(BHR midpipe) The second sensor is still there but is no longer getting Hot enough which is why it's below efficiency. The computer then forces the car to run richer to keep the motor safe. Once you get the Cobb flash tuner and Mazda Maniac's base tune the check engine light is eliminated as well as the enrichment of the fuel.

Note when I had the midpipe on with no flash tuner my gas mileage was ruffly the same but the car did shoot more flames. With the MM stock tune less flames unless I was racing like this past weekend then tons of flames...LOL!

Nice man, you won't regret it. Unless you care about MPG.

I've had the car since 06 and I still feel the same way I did back when I first got it. Good times.

You give praise to car cam but no linky...FAIL!

I really wish I could have recorded day two!!! GRRRR!!!! I got some advice regarding my driving on day one and let's just say I got REALLY brave on day two and it paid off cause I took on the Tokyo Drift persona during the hairpin. It must have been soo entertaining that for a split second while I was driving I saw a few people at one of the stations clapping...LMAO!!! I should have put that song with the Asian girls singing FAST AN FURIOUS!!!!!

I'm the new DK of the autocross!

Now the truth is I was trying to down shift into first but I kept on messing up the throttle blip (heal toe) into first gear which essentially made the rear tires spin all of a sudden and put me into a perfect drift in the hairpin...I discovered it by accident...I should have kept using it cause I was much faster in the turn that way...LMAO!

By nature all autocross racing is timed and they almost always have instructors. The autocross I went to this past time did not allow instructors since they did not have enough for everyone but I befriended one of them and he gave me a few pointers.

I'll post the next one in a few.

It was hidden inside you all along. Your next race should be on the tsukaba circuit to try out your drift skilz lmao.

Firecran posted this in another thread, but I figured I'd post it in here. CFRC's having an autocross on February 4th. $35 to drive, $10 to watch.

Talking Tune #2 COMPLETED

All I need to do is either borrow a car over there or get someone to ship mine. I'll teach them what real drifting is!

On a side note...Check it out!!!

Tune #2 (not including the base calibration...should have about 1 or 2 more tunes left)

All I have to say is...this tune is made of LuLz!!!!

1) Idle has never been this steady even with a stock engine and tune.
2) Everything in general is smoother across all RPM's.
3) I'm detecting some definate power increase here.

I gotta dyno this thing after the final tune for S&G's...

@Chris - Not sure I can make that autocross...Already would have done 3 in the span of a month and a half and rent is due that week so I need to hunker down and get my tax's done so I can keep this momentum going of fixing up the car.
