for those of you who don't know::

2 months ago blown motor and cracked radiator. got a new motor, new radiator, new clutch. had the car for a week and it was constantly stalling on me. idling super low and had engine code P0850. then all of a sudden my clutch drops all the way down and doesn't come back up. no pressure.. figure out that my clutch line split down the middle. fixed that yesterday as well the issue with the engine code. no more check engine light but car still idling low and stalling everytime i slow down or hit the brakes. any suggestions? (i know this isn't tech garage but i figured it wouldn't hurt to ask)

 

so i installed my RB midpipe back in march and used a new donut gasket where the midpipe and the exhaut pipe connect (the point where the 2 bolts and springs are). Well the donut was a bit too big and it was a bitch and a half to get in. Sure enough i had an exhuast leak as well (was really small though). So finally i ordered a crush gasket from raceroots (http://raceroots.com/index.php/produ...et-2-bolt.html). Now my exhaust leak is even worse. it looks like the bolts are only putting enough pressure on the sides.The top and bottom of the gasket are leaking though. Any ideas on what might help? maybe 2 gaskets?

 

What catback do you have? I tried to use my RB DR MP with my OE catback for ***** and giggles, but donut wasn't making full contact.

RR's gasket wouldnt solve your issue.

Snap some pics of the catback to MP section.

 

when i bought the car it came with a custom exhaust. Just a couple of cherry bombs welded on. (sorry about the big *** photos. not really sure on how to downsize them)

 

Get that catback out of there

 

ya its been next on my list of mods. It never looked right to me. Do you think replacing that will help out my problem? Also, will be ok to drive around for now? I just need to get to school and work for now.

My guess is the spring bolts are **** and not putting good even pressure on there. You could drill out and put some standard bolts in there or like L337 said you can replace the catback.

 

I contemplated that before...but you want some flex at the end of the pipe. But then again in florida do you really have the **** roads that are up here in pa? If you cant afford another catback, get some PB Blaster and a good drill bit and have at it.

Anyways I'm thinking about ordering exoticspeed RII. It seems to be the exhaust I'm looking for. Any suggestions before I order anything?
