How about a Mazdaspeed3
have you thought about a a mazdaspeed3? You did mention you needed a more practical car. MS3 has plenty of room and offers lots of power. Plus, easier to mod if you want more hp/tq.
power with brute force isn't what i'm into. I could build an all motor integra that will spank the doors off a mazdaspeed3, but imo rx8/s2k are in a different league.
my mom has a mazda3, it's a good car...for moms.

In defense of the poster, an 08 MS3 is a brand new car with miles of factory warranty, fresh paint, fresh parts ~ a fresh car altogether without a questionable history. Also, power with brute force would be a high torquing low revving v8, IMO the MS3 has a decent balance of 'brute force' and nimbleness...
Im pretty sure there are more daily driven integras by moms than there are mazdaspeed 3's...
edit: Bump for a clean car that is just as clean (if not cleaner) in person...
Damn I love S2K's. I want one bad, too bad they are made for midgets. I literally got stuck in one at a dealership once, took three sales men and the parts manager to get me out....
MS3's are easier to mod, up to a point. Turn up the boost and the stock rods will crack, fast.

Yes, an integra with a built motor "will spank the doors off the Mazdaspeed3" but so will a bunch of other FWD, AWD, RWD WITH a BUILT motor, so what's your point?
I hope you didn't take my original post to put down your S2000 or the RX8 because I mention it had lots of power and easy to mod.
IT WAS JUST A SUGGESTION.
I totally agree that the s2k, and 8 are in totally different leagues as the MS3. I'm a big fan of both cars, and they are really fun to drive...truly a drivers car.
I just had to rant, because really your logic doesn't make any sense to me as I explained above.
Well good luck anyways with your trade.
Wow! What a tool. All I was saying was, since you DID mention that you wanted a practical car, it seems logical that you would consider a hatchback with some power and agility. And I'm sorry to hear that you lost your job, really I am, then wouldn't it be logical NOT to buy a car that guzzles up Premium Octane like a bitch?

Car & Driver got 18mpg out of a mazdaspeed3 and 19mpg out of their long term rx8.
By your logic, I should just get a minivan, and have even more practicality...
