I narrowed my thoughts down, and I am set on a 2005 White Rx-8 with near or under 15k miles. I would really like grand touring package (red/black leather) but its not a must. I'll give you a bump but also explain a few things.

The price was actually a little more but there was a small crack on the front spoiler (barely noticeable) and they lowered the price.

Now factor this in.....

I had to leave NYC on Thursday night and drive 10 hours away to Cincinatti OHIO with a check for a car that I only saw in pictures. I rented a car to go there (one way rental) with Avis. I then picked up the Rx8 and loved it, all met my expectations and then I had to drive back 12 hours to get back to NYC since traffic was crazy. I also bought a bra for the car before leaving since these long road trips chip the paint if trucks are around. So let's talk total cost (really)

Rent a car - $120 with insurance
Gas and tolls - $80
Gas back and tolls - $100
Food - $20 (ate once)
Bra - $150?

So I am almost at 20.000 now. Also factor in the time it took me to get the car back, that's got to count for at least $500 since it was a long drive and I did it alone.

I just wanted to note this so you can include in your price when looking!

Thanks a lot Anthony for the reply and Bump.
You have motivated me to look on countless sits (craigslist, autotrader, ect) to find a car like you did. I understand you had extra expenses picking up the car from your location. Thanks for searching for me, and hopefully I can find a car like you did!

Btw, I checked some pictures of your car on the RX-7 forums and they look great!

Yeah, i know I went to a local rx-8 meet in chicago just to check out the community and cars, and I spotted the white one. I always said that I would get a black car, but when I saw the white, i drooled. I know im being a little specific and picky, but I'v worked hard for this money, and I don't want to have ANY regrets when I get one Despite all of the recent recall problems, and people saying this car has too little horsepower, this car has always been a dream of mine to own one when I saw it for the first time. I hope I get to own one for myself soon
