White 2005 - $19,500 - 9,600 miles - thoughts?

I've been looking for an rx8 for a while, searched and posted on this forum as well. I finally found one about 2 weeks ago in Ohio that I bought.

It came with just under 9,600 miles.
Grand Touring
Red/Black Leather
Appearance Package
Rear Spoiler (thanks for reminding me)
No Navigation
No Spare.

Since I bought it I just purchased the followiing accessories.

Front Mask
Strakes
Spare Tire (off a friend)
Truck Protector
Cargo Net
Mazda Seat Covers
Mazda Car Cover (red/black)
Front mud guards
Front and rear rotary emblems

I would estimate the total cost of the car to be just under $20,000 since I had to rent a car one way from NYC to Cincinatti Ohio to get it. It was at a dealership.

Thoughts on this deal considering no navigation? Pics attached....

Wow, sounds like you got a great deal!! You forgot to list your rear spoiler . What did you think of the car from the drive back? Anyways, congrats!

I drive back took 10 hours. I never drove an 8 before this but as soon as I got on the highway, I fell in love. I've driven rx7s that have top notch suspension, bmw m3's and a number of high end cars and the rx8 hands down is the most fun car to drive! I really enjoyed the ride back. I called a few of my friends each hour to tell them how much fun this car is to drive.

I think that was me. hehe

I think that's a great deal. My '05 BB GT had 11.5K miles for $19K. Mine does not have nav, spoiler, spare, or appearance package. It does have a MS rear only. Looking to trade that thing back to stock.

Did you get the recall work done? I had mine done recently, they filled the gas, washed, spark plugs, cat check and new engine computer flash. Make sure you bring the paperwork in beforehand to make sure they follow procedures.

Make sure you also transfer warranty to you. It is best to call the 800 Mazda NAO number to do it in person. It's way faster.

I'm planning to get:
Cargo mat
Aldehyde air filter
Change trans and differential fluid to Royal Purple synthetic.
Racing beat oil and air condition protection screens
At least fog if not high beams to Hoen xenon match bulbs
Change out MS rear to stock BB rear and get rotary accent for rear only

Congrats! I think White looks great.

Omg, thats the exact car that I have been looking for. I live in Illinois, and am willing to travel like you have. Please, if you find any other deals like the one you found (same color/leather), PM me. I have been searching for quite a bit, but never spotted a deal like you have. Again, great deal, and if you ever come across another one, let me know!!!

I have an RX-8 and everytime I see a white one just like you have I feel a little funny. I'm starting to think that's the perfect combination. Don't get me wrong, I love mine, but something about the white....Mmmm Mmmm.

I just showed these posts to my wife, she was laughing saying "I told you to get the white and not the yellow!!!"

Pretty funny. Thanks for the positive comments.

White is a great colour for the rx8. It gives a sense of purity to the car's design. Yellow makes it look like a runaway Mozza.
