$11K off new 2007

Talked to a teenager with a new 2007 Sport when I was out getting lunch today. Told me he got $11,000 off on it. However, it wasn't clear whether that was off of MSRP or inflated dealer price. I suspect the latter. Still, that's a big discount. I thought I did well when I got my 2004 for $6200 off MSRP.

Later!

Bob

since when do dealerships charge over MSRP for a 4 year old body style? I know they were going for a premium when they first hit the market in late 03 but I haven't seen anyone try to charge over sticker in a long time.

In order to reach $11k off, the original price probably included stupid dealer add-ons like the $10 underbody coating spray "valued at over $2,000."

Don't forget the MS kit that was free with the 07's (valued at $3K I think)

I worked for a dealer once that added to every car on the lot "Mirror Sheen Glamourizing". Mirror sheen glamourizing was a skinny red headed guy with a mullet hosing the car off. They've been screwing people like this for over twenty years.

The value is over-rated!!!
The wheels are Mazdaspeed6 wheels 18x7.5, 26lb boat anchors.

And they're god awful ugly. I've seen ICW wheels that look better than those. If I upgrade the wheels they will have a nice fat deepdish lip on them...

I don't know why everyone is so disbelieving. People were routinely getting $8k+ off MSRP at the beginning of this year. Perhaps $11k is a little bit off, but it's still probably a great deal.
