For 2006-2008 "Series 1" cars, Mazda introduced a series of improvements under the skin of the RX-8 to make them more reliable, including the starting circuit and ignition system. When properly maintained, they have much lower failure rate than the early 04-05 cars.

The Grand Touring trim includes: leather interior with heated front seats, power driver's seat with adjustable lumbar support, tilt/slide sunroof, BOSE stereo with 6CD changer, auto-dimming rear view mirror with garage opener, keyless entry and start. All nice luxury features, without much distraction - surprising for what is otherwise a focused sports car

I bought this car from an RX8club member and have owned it since 2009, and am only the second owner.
The original owner added:

Translation: car looks, runs, sounds and handles better than stock, without affecting the integrity of the vehicle! Quiet idle and cruising, comfortable ride, but extra responsive when you get on it.

Car has been well maintained, with regular oil changes, service following the manufacturer schedule and preventative maintenance. Long list of receipts. Needs nothing. Only fault is the coolant level light is on, can be fixed with a new overflow tank. I just keep track of the level visually when I check my oil!

Interior is 9/10
Exterior has some small scuffs on the bumpers and scraped lip: 8/10

Car has been nothing less than a joy to own and drive, but I am ready to get something bigger.
