FS: 2005 Mazda RX-8 6SPD MT Touring [Indiana]
Well, here it is. For sale is my companion for the past six months. I'm the 2nd owner of this vehicle, but the 1st owner was a friend who was a really good car dude, so I knew he took care of the car. It has 30,000 miles on the odometer.
The color is Titanium Grey.
There have been some slight modifications:
-MazdaSpeed Dual Muffler Cat-Back Exhaust
-Tweaked Air-Box
-Clear corners
The air box has had it's internal walls removed, which apparently frees up a few horsepowers. I can put it back to it's OEM state if needed.
The vehicle has been in West Lafayette, Indiana all it's life, and has seen racing on the track. However, since this is a rotary engine, racing it is a better thing than babying it throughout it's life.
Maintenance has been done religiously by the book. If Mazda's service manual says to put it to 12ft-lbs of torque, I put it to 12ft-lbs of torque. If it says to use non-synthetic oil, I used non-synthetic oil. Everything has been done to a degree that would put some dealers to shame.
The body has no dents, though it has a few minor scratches that you really can't see unless you put your face to it.
Everything else is perfect.
The interior is in excellent condition. I sometimes do detailing myself, so it's kept relatively clean (probably needs a wipedown now, because it's winter and it's too cold to be detailing outside). I can clean it out before handing it over if need be.
Car will come with three sets of tires. The first set is currently on the 18" OEM wheels, and they are old Hankook Ventus RS-2s. The second set are on 17" ASA wheels, Bridgestone Blizzak WS-50s. The third set is a set of expensive Bridgestone Potenzas-03 Pole Positions. These have not even been mounted, and have never seen use.
I will also provide a full container of Mazda FL22 coolant. The bottle has been opened, but has never been used.
I am willing to part with my friend, companion, and baby, with three sets of tires and everything, for $20,000.
You can come see the car for yourself and take it for a test drive if you wish. PM me if you are interested.
