Still under warranty, always meticulously maintained, non-smoking driver. Currently at only 14,xxx miles.

Touring package includes high-intensity Xenon headlamps, foglights, auto-dimming mirror w/ Homelink, Power moonroof, Bose stereo, and DSC/TCS (dynamic stability control and traction control).

Added extras include Beat REVi intake and oil cooler screens (professionally installed by Racing Beat), Pettit Racing billet aluminum rotor-shaped radio ****, and rear-facing red foglamp that fits into the rear rotor accent (not yet installed).

Tires still in excellent shape with plenty of tread. Engine has always run perfectly and has never flooded. All maintenance records available. Original owner.

Bump.... I just renewed the California registration so it's good for a full year. It also still has a full year of manufacturer's warranty left -- the miles are so low that unless you put 40,000 miles on the car in a year it can't run out earlier. C'mon-- this is the lowest priced Touring '04 you'll find!

And I'd love to, but I live in Vermont. Kinda hard to get it back without putting too many miles on it.

did you check with CarMax? You might get close to what you are asking here...

Yep -- they offered me only $17,000. That's less than my loan payoff by about $800. All I want to do is break even!

It was funny -- when I called the guy at Carmax to make the appointment for the appraisal and I told him I had an RX-8, he said, "Please tell me it's not red!"

Oops. I guess they've been getting a lot of red ones, and their customers are asking for other colors.

I think CarMax usually offers in the middle of the Black Book value range if the car is in a good shape. I think what you are asking for here is very very reasonable. Good luck with the sale. I am in the same boat as you are.

Bump again... added links to more pics. Took the car to a Mazda dealer yesterday to trade it in, but they wouldn't cover my loan payoff and wanted to tack extra $$ onto the deal. I told them forget it... Surely someone out there would want this car for only $18,000???

Come on...This '04 just sold for more, and it had MUCH higher mileage!

Okay... just finished detailing the car last night. It's immaculate inside, outside, in the trunk, and under the hood. It's going to another Mazda dealer today to be potentially traded in on a Mazda6 wagon. If they give me anything close to my asking price it'll be gone.

She is sold for the asking price. I'll miss her but it looks like she's going to a good home.
