Year: 2011 Make: Mazda Model: RX-8 Price: $13000 Mileage: 90500 Color: Red Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing Location (US State/Canada/Int): MO
2011 Mazda RX-8 R3 This was my sons car purchased in 2019 and he is looking to get a larger car for traveling. The car was first registered in Kentucky and acquired by the seller in January 2019 as the 4th owner. The spark plugs and wires, ignition coils (BHR Racing) have been recently replaced. This RX-8 has 90,545k miles as of 7/19/2022 and is currently being driven with approximately 13k miles added by the seller since purchase in January 2019.
Forged 19″ BBS wheels wear 225/40 ZR Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires purchased last fall. The seller notes some blemishes on the rim edges.
The seller notes some minor wear and flaws on the seats and a slight crack on the passenger side dash which is pretty typical on these cars.
The car is not perfect, there are some slight imperfections, a few rock chips int he front but no dents or obvious damage.
Last serviced in April 2022 for a fuel system recall, oil change, and a maintenance inspection was also completed at that time.
Non-factory upgrades / additions to the car:
AEM Air Intake
Racing Beat short tube headers
BHR High Flow Mid-Pipe
HKS Hi-Power cat back exhaust system
BHR Coils
Rear view Mirror back-up camera display
Also have a separate Racing beat cat back dual exhaust system I will throw in as well
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and displays registration and service history in Kentucky, Oklahoma, Texas, Florida, Arizona, and Missouri
Not current numbers. I had it checked in January of 2019 and it was excellent.
It runs great. Would get an updated compression test for a serious buyer

I would say I'm a serious buyer.
But I'd like to know how much life the engine has left in it before I need to get it rebuilt so we could factor that in while negotiating.
Would it be possible to post some closeups of the imperfections you mention?
I think I see a tear in the seat, and the passenger side bumper doesn't seem to be aligned right, but that could just be the angle/photo clarity.
In all, I like what I see and hope to drive it away!

I understand, So, I have been trying to work with this Rotary shop in STL for the last week called Phalanx Performance trying to get a compression test done. He has not returned voicemails left for him, emails, and keeps odd hours (shop doesn't open until after 3 PM), even sent him a message on his company Facebook page that he read but didn't bother replying to... Trying to work with this place as they have a good online reputation but if I cant get a compression test out of him in the next couple days I will just take it to the dealer and unfortunately have to pay twice as much.
I attached some pics of the obvious flaws that I can see...
small seat tear, some rock chips on front bumper, scuffs on the wheels, paint that is faded on the roof from what looks like an old radio antenna, couple scuffs on the lower driver side bottom of door, and the front bumper has a bad clip that makes it occasionally pop out about 3/16" from the connection tot he fender...
Let me know if you have any more questions, feel free to email me directly at mseichholz@charter.net
PM me your email address and I will send you the complete carfax report.

Thank you for the closeups!
No pressure on getting the compression test soon.
I'm out for the summer and will be back in Indy around the end of August.
If you don't mind, I'll drop by to have a look then.
Maybe even borrow a rotary compression tester from a shop if they agree to loan it to me.
