I've decided to test the waters on selling my 2005 Velocity Red RX-8 with approximately 75,000 miles. I believe that this package is a bit uncommon and I spent a decent amount searching for this exact combination.

This is a base model, something I specifically sought out, with no sunroof, no aero package, no leather, no heated seats, no traction control/DSC, no HIDs, and no nav. This is the lightest stock RX-8 offered. For me, it was a combination of that and optimal headroom. I have owned RX-8's with and without sunroofs. There is a very noticeable difference in interior space.

I purchased the car at about 65,000 miles from the original owner at a dealership. Prior to purchase, I ensured that it was up to date on all TSB's (service bulletins) and had documented oil changes through the entire life, which it had. At the time of purchase, I was able to catch the beginning stages of a failing SSV. This was replaced at the dealership's expense through a large Mazda dealership using OEM parts and labor. That was the first and only mechanical issue this car has ever had, and it has run extremely well ever since.

Once upon a time, I chose a few tasteful modifications to add to the car for a more enjoyable experience on track. I am extremely OCD when it comes to putting any vehicle on track, and I spared absolutely zero expenses in ensuring this car would reliably handle track conditions and driving to work and back the very next day. I attended a total of two track weekends and a few autocrosses. I have nothing to hide and will answer any and all questions.

Maintenance performed under my ownership:

- Front suspension overhaul: new lower subframe, all new bushings, new motor mounts (some bushings were nearly seized, I wanted trouble-free alignments)
- Regular oil changes every 3,000 miles or less, or prior to any track day
- Coolant flush
- Transmission and differential fluid flushes using Redline equivalents of OEM fluids
- Brake fluid flush using ATE Typ200
- Front and rear Centric blank rotors
- Stainless steel braided brake lines
- Fresh OEM front brake pads and Hawk HPS rear pads
- New OEM sway bar end links front and rear
- New OEM ignition coils, plug wires, and spark plugs
- New air filter
- Miscellaneous cosmetic pieces, including OEM leather arm rest, new OEM taillight to resolve a water leaking issue, new OEM fender liner when one was slightly torn
- Racing Beat oil cooler grilles to prevent rock chips and bug interference
- Grom Audio iPod/iPhone OEM integration through radio and steering wheel controls, OEM-like mounting
- Plain black delrin shift **** that does not get super hot or super cold like the OEM ****

Every bit of work utilized OEM hardware, when applicable, such as the correct crush washers for fluid changes, using new OEM brake pad shims and retaining clips, etc. I know this car like the back of my hand and it is in as good of mechanical condition as any new RX-8, if not better.

Cosmetically, the car is nearly as good as it is mechanically. The paint is virtually flawless except for a couple of small chips or hairline scratches. No dents, dings, or rust whatsoever. Minor rubbing underneath the front plastic air dam and mud flaps. All interior plastics and fabrics are in great shape, without stains, and function appropriately. All creature comforts work exactly as-new, including heat, A/C, cruise control, stereo, mirrors, lights, keyless entry, etc. I do have both original keyless keyfobs and a valet key.

The car needs nothing but a happy owner to enjoy it. I am not currently daily driving the car and do not plan to drive it much at all through the winter.

I am located in Lexington, KY and am more than happy to show and test drive the car to any prospective buyer.

I am asking $10,900.
