2005 silver w/ leather and turbo

I'm selling my 8 because I'm tired of driving it 400 miles a week. It deserves a better life than I can give.
Here goes: 2005 Sunlight Silver with black leather interior; heated seats; power driver's seat; 6-speed manual; new clutch; 59k miles; all stock except GReddy turbo kit (less than 4k miles since turbo)
Here are the turbo details: stock GReddy kit with Interceptor-X EMS, Mazsport CAI, Microtech Dash, Mazsport wideband o2 kit, Synchronic blow-off valve, Blitz boost controller, RacingBeat gauge pod with Autometer II oil temp- oil pressure- pyrometer - everything installed was about $6500

Car dyno'd at 253rwhp and 216 ft-lb tq Everything was installed professionally at Mazsport, and the car was dyno and street tuned by Scott at Mazsport. There are a few rock chips in the hood and a scratch on the driver's side rear quarter panel.

$18,000 OBO You can check out pics of the turbo set-up in my turbo thread. I will post pics of the car itself tomorrow. I don't REALLY need to sell my car, so please no ridiculous low-ball offers.

Yeah, it is a lot! I drive 75 miles round trip to work. Sometimes I work 6 days a week. The good thing is, most of those miles are interstate miles.

No thanks. The only trades I would consider would be for a 95-98 Jeep Wrangler 4.0L + cash or a 06-08 Triumph Speed Triple + cash

Stock Exhaust? Besides a well set up turbo, and monitering gauges, what other reliability mods are there if any? I know you said "NO" to ridiculous offers, but i have 14k. I won't need to be told twice if your not intrested.

Yes, exhaust is stock. I'm not sure what you mean by reliability mods... I had a de-carbon procedure and compression check done just before the turbo install, and readings were solid on both rotors in the 7.9 - 8.1 range. I check the oil every 2 fuel tank fills (about 500 miles) and add as necessary. Oil consumption has always been predictable. Before turbo, the car was serviced at a Mazda dealership at intervals earlier than recommended. Since turbo, oil was changed at 2,000 miles and is due for its next change in ~500 miles. I have babied this car to the best of my rotary knowledge.
Kelly Blue Book on the car in stock form for private party is ~$15,000. I spent almost $7,000 on turbo parts and install. So, I don't think $17,000 is a bad deal at all.
Sorry, but $14k isn't enough.

I feel sorry I low balled you on my first offer. I am honerd to see that this car has been cared for above and beyound any normal persons respects. I am nearly tunnel visioned at the thought of a boosted rx8 and with 20 000k in hand I want to squeeze every last bit of leather out of a true GT. Due to boarder complications and taxes I need a comfortable safty cousion of around 3k for taxes, air conditioning charge fee!?, fly to and gasback, and registraion. The dream of tuning where you left off will always be a permanent reality. Let me know if you can gather all the paper work for a clean and strait forward transfer across the boarder. Ie: a recall letter from mazda for 04's (catalyst I belive?) &/or any other applicable documentation.
Thank you again for all your time.

I'm not sure what you mean about a recall letter from Mazda. I bought the car used in Jan '07 from a Honda dealership. The salesman did tell me there were some recalls on the car so I took it straight to the Mazda dealership. The recalls they did were 3305G and 4206F.
If you're serious about buying the car, understand that since it's boosted all factory warranties are now void. Also, I am not offering any warranties, expressed or implied. To the best of my knowledge, there is nothing wrong at all with the car. However, with the Interceptor-X it WILL NOT pass emissions. There are instructions on this forum about how to disconnect the Int-X just to get passed an emissions test though. If you are serious about buying my 8, PM me and we can discuss particulars.

I am Canadian, No matter what 8 I purchase not a single province not even Quebec would consider driving an import onto their hoist for warrenty work. Once a vehicule from out of Country enters its warrenty is automatictly nulified in the eyes of our dealerships. A recall letter from any mazda dealer ship for proof of recall work preformed to the car and authorization for transport, must be had in hand and faxed to the boarder 72hours prior to crossing. I heard of some people acting inocent to get threw customs, but my face is one most law enforcement frown upon.. It shouldn't be to hard to optain recall documents from Mazda.

Lmfao, "No warrenties implied or expressed"? So what are you incineuating? That you have no clue as to how efficently your vehicule is running? I know that as a respectable enthusiast and a fellow man with great tasts in toys such as yourself would not burn a possible finacial bridge by putting his right foot down and being forward, to the best of your knowledge, about every aspect of your vehicule. More over, I trust you, I also trust that this car has been loved from head light to tail light.

I have a few remaining questions before we close up our deal. Is the new clutch OEM & about how many miles would you say? Along the same line how solid is your drive train from tachometer to rubber, in your own words?

Thank You Very much for all your Time and Patience with all your replies, it is truely a pleasure doing buisness with you.

By saying "no warranties expressed or implied" I was merely putting out in the open that this is an as-is sale. I recently got in the mail from Mazda a letter stating that the engine on my car had been given an extended warranty up to 100,000 miles. Obviously, with a turbo kit installed, that warranty is void.
Clutch was replaced by Mazsport at the same time the turbo was put on. It is an OEM clutch, and has 3,500 miles on it so far.
Like I said earlier, to the best of my knowledge, there is nothing wrong with the car. Oil pressure is 19-20PSI at idle and 60-70PSI while cruising. Oil temp is 180-200*F while cruising. Water temp has NEVER gotten above 90*C, and is usually ~84-86*C. Exhaust gas temp is 1200-1400*F while cruising. There are no oil leaks, no coolant leaks, no leaks of any kind. A/C is cold, etc... I baby this car. I don't let anyone else drive it, including my wife. I ALWAYS let the car warm up at idle for at least 3 minutes before driving (cold starts), I ALWAYS let the oil circulate for 20 seconds after starting before I even put the car in gear (warm starts), I ALWAYS let the oil temp get to at least 170*F before I go into boost, and I ALWAYS wait until oil temp is 190*F or cooler before I shut her down.
I was testing the waters to sell for several reasons:
1. I keep seeing stuff I want to buy for the car.... exhaust, wheels, body kit, etc... this stuff is sooo expensive
2. I want a new motorcycle without having to finance
3. I have a 50lb Boxer that cannot ride in my car. I was looking into getting another Jeep Wrangler so I don't have to worry about my dog mucking up my car.
I don't have a video camera, but I will try to borrow one and post a movie.

This seems like a very good deal. Car looks clean and the greddy turbo is obviously HUGE plus. I am no expert, but am sure you can get more juice (300+ whp) out of that kit. Good luck with the sale of your car.
