I am selling my 2004 RX8 6 speed that I adore and might be recognized as LAZI's old car, which it is. I bought the car about 3 years ago in California with ~30-40k miles on it and it now has 77k miles on the chassis, the motor was recently rebuilt and has 5k miles on it. The miles on the car I drove are all highway miles, I commuted for work in CA and drove the car back forth from California to Texas a few times (mind you long trips aren't a problem). I loved this car but am giving up having a car completely to live in the city and go to Gnomon School in Hollywood. I bike now, lame I know. That being said the car is in Dallas, TX with my very good friend and rotary guru Project7Studios. He is managing the partout and sale of the car for me and has done most of the work on the car while I lived in Dallas, so he can answer a lot of technical questions. We will be working closely together on the sale so either of us can answer any questions. Our contact info will be at the bottom of the post and I will also be listing this on CList.
Now onto the rest of the car...It does have its share of dings and scratches, but overall a great car. Interior is in great condition considering its age and the a/c is cold. I am going to list all the bad that arent pictured so that a serious potential buyer understands what they are purchasing. I am not trying to hide anything or rip anyone off, so please ask questions and I will do my best to answer. The aftermarket parts that will come with the car is the ACT Street/Strip Clutch and lightweight Flywheel
There are still 2 check engine light codes that we cant seem to get cleared. ~ P0037 ~ P0443 - TPMS light is still on. Either the monitor hasnt recognized the wheels on the car yet or they need to be mated to each other. - The RMagic kit was molded onto the car originally. After 30k miles, the results are clear. Kit currently on the car includes: Headlight Lids, Side Skirts, Rear bumper Skirt and Rear Low Profile Spoiler - The sun visors are both broken. The two halves that make up the visor have started to split apart at the swivel mechanism and thus, the visors flop down sometimes. More the passenger than the driver. - The oem wheels arent in the best of shape. They do have curb rash and the tires are in need of replacement due to camber wear. - The car was lightly rear ended before I bought it; It pushed up the rear bumper resulting in the cracks you see in the trunk lid (which I have never had problems operating i.e.opening/closing) and the poor fitment from the bumper to the rear fenders. - The front bumper is a cheapy knock off copy. I recommend a replacement and color match. To explain why the original RMagic bumper is currently not on the car: Car was purchased without the RMagic but with a MS bumper which met its demise when it lost a battle with a parking curb, I put the fiberglass bumper on it when it was shipped to Texas- The Renesis branded engine cover is missing. - - Front windshield is cracked. I will replace if the price is right. Thats all I can think of right now. Please feel free to ask questions and we will answer as best we can.
