2004 Blue RX8 w/ 23K miles - Cheap!
Hey guys, I haven't been on the RX8 forums in quite some time, but have since decided to trade in my 8 (the blue/white 96 viper gts in my garage persuaded me to).
Anyhow, I am trading the car into a dealership next week as a trade (picking up a daily driver). They are offering me $16K, but I would like more if possible. I figure I need an offer of $19K+ to make it worth my while...So if anyone is interested the vehicle has:
-23K miles
-6spd trans
-Xenon factory headlights
-Upgraded Bose stereo
-Navigation
-Sunroof
-Cruise control
-Brand new back tires
I should mention that I had a 5mph fender bender, where the front bumper cracked and had to be replaced. There was no structural damage.
Anyone interested or should I trade her in to the dealer?

That's what i was planning on doing unless I got a really good offer.
My friend works at the dealership I am trading in at and told me it was a good offer. I haven't seen him in a while so I wanted to make sure it really was a good offer.

I understand you'll reduce your sales tax with the trade in, but 3000$ worth? at 7% PA/philly tax rate the 16k trade in will save you $1120. You'd break even at 17120 with a private party sale, the rest is gravy.
edmunds.com says trade-in value is 17,900 for outstanding condition, 17300 for good, kbb.com also says 17.900 for excellent, 16.900 for good...kbb could be higher depending on the options-
do you have sport, touring, GT packages?
do you have stability control?
thanks
