zaino or zymol..
ive been using zymol for a long time and i really like the way it works and the feel of the car after its done. but how does it compare to zaino. ive heard nothing but really good reviews on it and was wondering if i should switch to it. how much does it cost, just a wash/soap and a wax? do they sell it at a local pepboys? thanks

which zymol wax are you using? If you're talking about the cleaner wax and want to switch to zaino, you're in for a surprise. IMHO, zymol cleaner wax attracts way too much dust and not very durable at all. Zaino is more expensive though. If you really want to switch to zaino, get the starter kit. everything you need is included on the package. Some people think that zaino is very labor intensive but its not really that complicated. Most of the steps that is on zaino's instruction is all about proper prepping to get the maximum result. These things should be done in any way before applying any other sealants or waxes for optimum results. I personally learned a lot from using zaino. zaino's instruction will yeild you a very good information about proper prepping whether your using their product or something else. I currently use Meguiars NXT tech wax because i like the look better than zaino. IMO, NXT wax gives the paint a darker reflection and a wetter appearance than zaino. and the NXT can be bought locally at any wal-mart store or advanced auto parts.

I swear by Zaino.. the one thing I love about it is that it lasts quite a long time.

I would say go with what you know - BUT I do think zaino is worth a shot for you just so you can see for yourself and make a judgement. I am not saying that you will or wont like it, just that it is a quality product that anyone should try. That said, I tried it and was not totally blown away as people here rave about it. It was good and great but not "go slap down my grandma" outstanding. The coats are VERY thin and you truly need multiple (probably 3 or more) coats to really get the super deep effect. The color of your vehicle will also have a HUGE effect on your opinion of the product.

Is it ok to use NXT or Zymol cleaner wax on top of Zaino layers? I have nothing but zaino on my car and just wanted to check out these other products. Can you put alternate layers of NXT and Zaino ???

I just ordered the Zymol cleaner to prep the paint ,that's removing any wax or contaminates. Then I'll be applying the Japon hard carnuba wax formulated for Japanese paint finishes. I'll post pics soon.
