this stuff rocks...

here's some reflection pics of my brilliant black trunk and hood:

I'll post pics of the entire car when I find a nice spot at dawn or dusk.

56k warning... wait, does anyone use dial-up still?

I took some pics this morning up on a 9th floor garage. They didn't turn out exactly the way I wanted, but here they are:

Nice. And with the black, I actually prefer the orange corner lights.

thanks for the compliments!

I didn't want my wife's car to be left out, so I spent the weekend repeating the whole process on it:

Idle thoughts while detailing:
- Lexus' graphite gray pearl is stunning in person up close
- Z2 takes a lot more elbow grease to buff out than Z5
- the IS's inline 6 makes getting around town effortless, but only with a muted growl compared to the renesis
- cotton towel lint + static cling from detailed surface is annoying
- never lend your keys to someone to unload the trunk; do it yourself
- Mazda's paint is way softer than Lexus (not related to above, really)

Those are impressive photos showing how reflective the surface is! Amazing actually.

The guys on this forum are putting up a pretty good argument for spending $90 of car wax. Wife will not be happy.

She'll be happy if you use it to detail -her- car.

Yeah, that's it. I'm gonna make sure my next car is black.

Why?

It's good stuff. Take care of those swirl marks though.
