I take delivey of my new Rx Thursday. First on the list, after hitting the country roads for a few hours, is removing the ugly dealer bumper sitcker (its huge and hideous). Any suggestions to get this off without doing any damage?

 

Make the dealer take it off before you take delivery. That's what I did.

 

I just grabbed mine and it came right off. Then again the dealer only had 2 days of letting it be on there. :D

 

mine was a sticker, I let it sit in the sun and get hot then peeled it off as best i could on my own and then put some "goo gone" on a rag and rubbed off the rest. Washed and waxed it and it has been fine since.

 

If it's a vinyl sticker, just heat it up with a hair dryer, peel, and clean with Goo-Gone or rubbing alchohol (don't forget to wax afterwards!)

If it's one of those idiotic plastic plates, take a piece of fishing line or dental floss and "saw" through the adhesive pad behind the plate. It'll leave a mess of adhesive gunk behind. Again, Goo-Gone will take it off (let it soak).

 

Like loco said, make them take it off before you take delivery
