Spray touch-up paint… better?

For small nicks and chips, wouldn't spray touch-up paint be better than the little bottle (and big blobs) we get from Mazda? I have a small paint chip on my front air dam (about the size of half a dime), and it seems spray (with masking, of course) would just go on smoother—with no blobs like from the little bottle.

Oh, and what those "marker pen" style touch-up paints? I'm confused.

marker pens = NO bad!

if you just want the chip to be red then i guess you could use spray, but if u want it fixed.

get the touch up paint, a toothpick. then dap a layer of paint on the chip, don't use the brush that comes with the bottle it puts too much paint on. With the tooth pick you need to paint it on with the tip. get a small drip and spread it around (not too much.

let that layer dry for a day or so, then put another, and the next day another.

then the next day do the same thing but with some clear coat.

do that 2 more times, then after wet sand it so it is level with the stock paint. then once you are there polish it with an electric polisher. I guarantee that it will look exactly like factory finish if done correctly.
