Show Car Glaze - Zanio

The bightest finish on a car is Meguire's Show Car Glase. It has rich oils in it to enhance the finish . My question is can you use it over Zanio and not effect the protection it gives?

I imagine that would not be a problem--it's not uncommon to layer a synthetic with a carnauba. Of course, the protection of Zaino will be restricted since it won't be the outer layer, but once the carnauba wears out or evaporates, the Zaino will still be there.

show car glaze is not a wax. Its a pure polish without cleaners and is used for car shows that doesn't need durability. Glazes also does not provide any protection. If you really like the look of the meguiars show car glaze, top it with a quality carnuba wax like their no.26 or no. 16. Or you can even go with one of the boutique waxes like p21s or pinnacle waxes to get the most wettest look possible. Its a very different look than zaino.

On further examination, Slim is right--the Show Car Glaze is meant to be topped with another wax. See this review. For some reason, I misread your post and thought the your glaze was Zaino. Since Zaino is technically not a wax, I don't know how you would use the two together (although, if you HAD to do the two, Zaino would go on top since it has durability and protective qualities). Better to top the glaze with something like NXT (synthetic) or Meg's #16 or #26 (carnaubas). (Sorry my suggestions are so Meguiar's-centric) For durability reasons, I would go with a synthetic wax/sealant during the remainder of this winter season, since carnaubas don't last as long and you likely will have less opportunity to maintain the exterior as much in this weather, and switch to a carnauba/blend when the weather warms up and you're able to detail it more frequently.

As an aside to Slim's post, s100 (found at Harley-Davidson stores) is supposed to be the same as p21s, only cheaper. The manufacturer disagrees, obviously, but who knows...
