Removing dealership logo??
I recently removed the metal/plastic dealership logo that was placed on the trunk near the RX8 logo. It seems like it was stuck on with some glue or sticky substance. Now what's left are these two small lines of sticky stuff that almost looks like there are two dirty scratches on the trunk. Any advice on removing them? I've tried hot water, bug/tar remover....nothing seems to work!

I had to use some Goo Be Gone on the Bob Boyd's sticker on the back of my 8. The sticker had some tough adhesive so if the goo be gone worked on that you should have no trouble.

I used a credit card to peel mine off. It was thin enough to fit under the emblem. I then just slowly chipped away at it. That's all I had to do and now there isn't even a trace of it even ever being on there.

I use Duct Tape... Yea, laugh at me... it works.
Just tear off a strip of tape, stick it to the glue that was left behind and pull the tape off quickly.
The glue sticks to the tape.
You'll have to "stick and remove" the Duct Tape several times and go over it with WD40.

Btw, I'm back from the dead (or, rather, the west coast). Good to see some familiar faces still in here!

if there are tough adhesives left on the car, you can always use goo gone or greas&wax remover. soak the tough adhesives with either of them and wait for a while them use a claen rag with wipe them off.
you can also use hairdryer, but dont use it for too long, otherwise you will melt the paint.
if there are small scratches, use polishing compound (semi coarse) then polish it with finer coase polishing products, wax it afterwards. take your time and be extra paitent with a darker colour car
dont think the dealer would cover it since you have gone and tried to take it off yourself :o
