I have a cheap Viking towel that I just use on the wheels. I save my good Zaino towels for the paint.

Have you tried hand-washing them to try to scrub off the dirt? (btw, your original posting asked how we wash our cars, but I'm assuming you meant to ask how we wash our towels? :p)

Personally, I just use paper towels and old rags on my wheels since the paint on them is so much more scratch resistant than the paint on the car. Saves on soiling and wasting good towels.
