porter cable polisher

i just got one of these bad boys from amazon.com to buff my 8 but the thing is i'm not sure how to attach the lambs wool hook and loop polishing pad i got for it. does anyone know?

i wouldnt use lambs wool unless you are specifically trying to repair a defect.

oh ok so i need a backing plate? also what should i use to buff out the car?
