NXT &... #16 or s100?

I've been browsing both the Autopia forum and this forum (I've read the Shutterbug thread) and have noticed that a lot of people top their NXT wax with either s100 or Meg's #16. Does anyone have experience with either or both of these in relation to NXT? Do they actually help? I'd be interested to find out which would produce better gloss on the lighter-colored 8's (i.e. titanium gray).

I have tried both. But I applied these over Klasse AIO and SG.
I like S100 better. It seems to last just as long as #16, plus if you happen to get any on the trim is doesnt turn white.
I have also tried soverian verses S100. On Silver this makes a big differance. The souveran looks WET and DEEP!
But S100 vs. #16, I would choose S100.

Thanks for the input, JonW. Souveran's a little out of the price range I want to pay for a wax right now, so I'll give the s100 a shot. I've never applied a paste wax, so if you have any pieces of advice, I'm all ears!

Applying paste wax is the same as liquid. Just rub the applicator on the wax and spread over one panel at a time. You don't want to "load it on thick", rather just enough for full coverage. In fact it is better to use to little than to much. Keep spreading it on the one panel then wipe it off. No need to let haze over. Then move on to the next panel.

I just placed an order for Top of the Lines "Trade Secret" carnauba wax. There are rumors that this is actually the same as the Souveran wax by Pinnacle, at half the price.

I will be using it as a topper over 4 coats of Zaino. Will be interesting!

Rob, let me know how the Trade Secret carnauba works out for you. If you have had experience with Souveran, I'd be interested to find out whether the two really are the same. Where did you order it from anyway?

Jon, thanks for the advice! I still haven't gotten around to picking up the s100, but when I do, I will follow your tips. Not allowing the wax to haze: Is that just to allow for easier removal? I'm so used to applying NXT to the whole car before I wipe off.
