Need some ideas over a big scratch...

Had my door slightly open, was about to get out of the car to get something, but forgot to pull the e-brake up. Car started to slowly fall back down the drive way, slammed the brakes but not in time. Doing something so pathetic was hard to accept.

I'm thinking I could try the porter cable on it to try to 'spread' some of the good paint across it.

Or should I try touch-up paint?

I'm open to anything...it doesn't look very good at all. And I don't feel like paying hundreds or whatever ridiculous quote the collision center down the street will give me.

Touch up paint would be your best bet...

oh ****! Self pwnage is the WORST! (trust me, I know all about it. )
I'm also leaning towards touch up paint since trying to spread it would be a big pain. Have you seen those touch up pens that Rosenthal has? (paint on one side, clear coat on the other)

Maybe that'll help?

Nah BG that was there before I came...springs are awesome

I posted on autopia and touching and sanding should do the trick...supposedly that's a very easy area to repair since it's on the edge. I ordered touch-up paint from my dealership today and I think I'll try doing my paint chips too, like how altspace did in his thread. I'll get to it soon since finals are finally over.
