Magic Erasers

Anyone ever use these on your car?
They work amazing, but I just went to buy more and as I was bored walking through KMart I read the back of them and they say to use them on Alloy Wheels but not on the car iteself, Whups. I have used these for the past 3 months, never a problem.
They get the bugs off with little to no effort, anything thats not ingraved in the paint. It even got the knicks from the ice scraper off my brothers Lexus.
So I am wondering what is the harm? Possibly it takes the finish off the paint?

If anyone knows, please speak.

Also, Speed Bead is the best spray on wax I have ever used. Just thought Id throw that out there

You used it on your paint? You do realize that they are roughly equivalent to 3000 grit sand paper.
That said, they are AMAZING on removing blemishes from the plastic parts and returning an OEM-like texture to leather and vinyl.

I used it on my paint, yeppers.
I have a silver car, my wife has a silver greenish car and my brother has a black car. I used it on all 3 and they didnt make any swirl marks, scratches or dull the finish at all. All still like new, water beads off of them like it did the first time they were waxed.
Thats why I didnt see a problem. Possibly long term effects so Ill stick with the plastic parts from here on in.

I'm gonna have to check that product out.

I wouldn't use it on the paint but it may be just fine for my head lights.

Ehh... No thanks. I only use them on stained interior plastic panels and stained exterior (bare) plastic moldings when i detail customer cars.
