Klasse Queston
Ok, I know this is a Zaino love fest on this board! But, I just ordered the Klasse Duo of All-In-One and High Gloss Sealant Glaze.
My question: Since my 8 is brand new, is the All-in-one necessary yet, or should I just start with the High Gloss Sealant?
Thanks!
KF

KF,
I think we are two of the few Klasse users on this site. I purchased my 8 this past Decmber and used AIO and sealant right away. There was a break in the weahter in the middle of December. Wanted to protect the car for the winter. It's now spring and there have been no adverse effects from doing so.
IMO, use the AIO and then go with the sealant. There should be no problems with the new paint. Remember, the 8 may of been sitting at the dealers lot for some time. Also, when they detail the 8 for delivery, I'm sure they used some wax/polish (some German car dealers use Klasse).
Good luck with the 8.

Finally a reply! Thank you very much. I actually did do AIO then SG and it looks absolutely fantastic! I'll be putting another coat of SG on next weeknend. Apparantly coat 2 of SG is where it really starts to shine. I can't imagine it better than it already is! I'm sure Zaino is great, but this was just too easy...and 1/2 price

No problem KF. As I said before, we may be the only ones using Klasse. So no other responses. I don't think too many people know about it.
I tried Zaino myself two years ago. Used the latest Zaino Z2 and ZFX. Great shine. Only thing I didn't like was the build up of dust.
Now watch me get slammed by all the Zaino followers. Oh well.

I never tried Klasse but I've tried Zymol, Pinnacle, Mothers, Meguiar's, Liquid glass and a ton of others. Zaino rules! :D
BTW, a bottle of Zaino is $12.95 - $16.95 and goes a long way.

Velocity,
Thanks for the non slam.
Too much Zanio? Maybe I'll try again. Still have some left over. To conduct a true test, I should do half Klasse, half Zaino. Most likley not. But I should try it again. At least to use it up.

Do the test if you can. The real test the Zaino lover like me wants to see is how other products hold up over time. I used to swear by Pinnacle but 2-3 weeks later and the finish was no longer smooth. Zaino still feels smooth and beads water like mad months after an application.

Count me in...
Count me in as a Klasse fan!! :D
I began using the Klasse "twins" for the past 2 months (my car is 3 months old) and have had nothing but the best results with it. Currently, I'm on my 5th layer of Klasse SG atop the initial layer of AIO. It really is a very deep shine and the durability has been excellent!
I completely hear you on the popularity of the Zaino Bros. on this board...it's a really fine product line. But, after doing quite a bit of research at Autopia, I came to the conclusion that Klasse was easier to work with: there is a Wipe-On-Wipe-Off method that many Klasse users have adapted at Autopia...click here to read more about it. Using this method, you can cut the application time by at least half and still get phenominal results!
If you do a bit of reading at Autopia...a great site if you are obsessed with deatailing your car(s)...you'll find that many agree that Zaino and Klasse offer different types of shine. Zaino, because it's virtually optically clear, offers a shine that is very clear and the most glass-like, while Klasse offers a deeper look, though not as deep as a top-quality, PURE carnuba wax. In fact, many Klasse users top their layers of SG with a top carnuba like P21S or Pinnacle's Souveran wax. This gets them a super deep, liquid-like look, especially in darker colored cars. However, if you go this way, make sure that you use only a PURE carnuba wax...any waxes with "cleaners" will strip SG layers off your finish.
I'm gonna have some pics up this weekend of my car with its 6th layer of SG...hope the rain holds off!!

Your main point is most important and that is to be sure the wax has NO cleaners in it.
Or just use Zaino! :D Sorry, couldn't resist!

I will have to try some Zaino for myself one day...I've used just about everything under the sun, but nothing from the Brothers Zaino. My buddy uses it on his Imola Red '02 M3...the thing looks like a candy-apple...a very, very glossy-shine!
