Installed RB Exhaust last night - turning colors?
I installed the racing beat exhaust last night. Not too bad. Dish soap for the donuts is key! Thought it would be a little louder, but I'll give it a couple hundred miles before I can truly say if it is just right.
Today after about 75 miles that exhaut is still burning in. After pulling in the garage you can smell it...strongly! It seems to be hotter than the stock pipes if that is possible. I changed from the old system right after driving it and only a little cool down time. This one you can't even get close to it seems so hot. Concern I have it that the tips seemed to have yellowed a little and the carbon built up around the lip already after one day of driving. Does that sound normal. The car only has about 2,000 miles. What will it look like after 20,000 miles?

I thought my exhaust and intake would be a little louder as well. both rb. I'm looking into selling my revi for more sound. Be sure to clean those tips. All aftermarket tips will turn yellow-goldish. It is just more obvious on the rb because it is chrome-tipped. I usually wipe them once a week to keep clean. There is a product that was mentioned somewhere on here that supposedly worked well at cleaning it. Forgot the name though.

That is normal. You will have to clean more frequently with any exhaust you get as:
more exhaust flow = more carbon build up. The color change will slow, and it will even out. Mine never turned bright yellow, but there was a yellow tint.
There's a few different polishes you can get for it. I forget the name of the one I used, I've since used it all and thrown it out.
