On a typical weekend? None. I wash the car once a month. And when I wash it, I try to get it done in about half an hour.

Too many other more enjoyable things to do.

Lately I've washed and waxed every weekend. Trying to get a few coats on before the snow flies. In between, I use a california duster thing that does a nice job of getting rid of dusty crap. Have to be careful though, that the duster is realitivly clean so as not to cause swirls and scratches.

I wash the car once every 2 weeks on average. Like said above, there are a lot other things to do than constantly washing and cleainng a hunk of metal.

I don't think that's rude at all. Some people love to clean their cars. Some (like me), not so much.

In answer to your question of what's better than washing a car -- just about anything. And yes, family, friends, kids...life!

There are some people who simply love cleaning their cars, such as myself. It's sort of my "time out"... it's very relaxing.. and rewarding to sit back and just look at how beautiful the RX-8 is at it's cleanest shiniest moment. Then I take her out for a spin, look for things to buy for her, be super gentle, and treat her like a princess. And every once in a while drive her really hard, enjoying every second of it... My girlfriend would be envious.

My normal Saturday would be to work out for an hour, have breakfast, spend the rest of the morning on the car, then spend the rest of the weekend with my girlfriend.

Life's wonderful.

everyone is different. I totally look forward to cleaning the car and I've been that way since I was 16 and with all my cars. It sounds funny but it is relaxing for me
