How long between Zaino coats?

Guys,

I just "de-virginized" my 8 this weekend (get your mind out of the gutter you sick bast...ds!) and applied my first application of Zaino.

I think it went well (looks great!) but was wondering if I left each application set long enough. I didn't see a lot of "haze" after the Z5 or Z2..

Here is what I did.

Z7 - Wash and dry
Z5 - apply - wait about 30 minutes. Then I actually started buffing the top (start) after about 5 minutes after I finished the rest of the car which felt like 30 minutes.
Z2 - apply and same approach
Z6 spray and wipe as going along

I didn't use too much Z5 and Z2 as I was going along (the 1 ounce was about perfect for the one coat).

Did I do it right? This took me about 3 hours and it was after rebuilding my back fence so I didn't have the energy to do 2 - Z2 and 2 - Z2 coats as I had planned. I was also supposed to rain late Monday/early Tuesday.

thanks for your advice in advance

You only need to apply one of the waxes, no need for both. Aside from that, what you did sounds good. The zaino should be applied so lightly that you can barely see it. You can tell if you did it right because the paint feels super glossy and smooth.

I love Zaino - It's been over 3 weeks since I last waxed, and the car sheets / beads water when wet still. I've just been doing the zaino car washes every 3 days or so to get the dirt off.

But I have to mention that I have about 8+ coats of Zaino on the car. I was adding one or two coats of wax + spray after each time that I washed it during the first few weeks.

Zaino doesn't turn yellow with additional layers, so add as many as you can.

I'll let you know if I ever see my Zaino need additional waxing, though I'm sure I'll be waxing it again soon, so ... it might be a while.

I built up an initial 6 layer coat last August. Sine than I've added between 4-6 more coats (I don't remember), but I've never had to add another coat. I never thought it looked ready (in need) for another coat, I just had spare time on my hands and felt it would be worth while to make the shine deeper. FWIW I believe one coat will last longer than 6 months, just have no first hand knowledge. There was a study (I think 3 months) where all other polishes were finished but zaino was as good as new.
