House Flies in Love with my 8?
Um, don't even know where to start with this one...
I find that when my car is parked in my driveway at home anywhere from 15 to 80 Skinny houseflies show up and just sit on my car. I fan them away with my hand and they just move to a different part of the car)
This is bizarre and alarming because I never see flies like this in my neighborhood (been living here 22 years) and they don't hang out on any of the other cars in the neighborhood.
Why is this happening?
Can these flies damage my car? ( they don't have keys to drive it but they what about the paint, etc?)
How can I stop them?
Here is more info to help me out if you can (most are in my signature line):
-Sunlight Silver (light colored car?)
-car was purchased from a BMW dealer ship (I bought a trade in) who detailed and washed car twice (soap they use?, wax/polish they use?)
-I live in a suburban area of Minnesota next to minneapolis)
Hope someone can help me here, or atleast get a little chuckle out of my predicament.

Hey I'm a MN kid too. I'm in maplewood, and I have the same issues. Usually happens after I wash or wax the car. They also seem to love the rain-x...
Don't know what's up but I'm sure the colors or shine attract bugs no matter what color it is. I've got a winning blue 8 and I get those little fly occasionally. I also get some little black tiny beetle, or other bugs that show up when I wax the car.
I wouldn't worry too much. Keep it clean, wax it, and it should be ok. I'm sure there's something in the wax or soap that attracts them.

me as well
This happened to me as well! I just got the car (silver like yours), and even before the Zaino, there were flies all over it! Does not happen to any other car I have in my driveway as well...maybe it is the shade of silver Mazda uses?
