Is there really a way to answer seriously to this thread?

Okay, i'll try.

OP, you COULD fill in the holes with Bondo and you COULD use touch up paint to cover the Bondo afterwards.

You should try it and let us know how it turns out.

If you don't want it to look like an abortion take it to a body shop and have it professionally done. Alright I said it.....so what!

when i first removed my emblems, i used plastic rivets from lowes and painted them. also used some adhesive so that they would not fall off.
if you look very closely, you can kind of see the painted rivets on the trunk

eventually i had the trunk done by a body shop. they welded them shut.

What shop charges in CA has nothing to do with what a shop charges in CO. You need to be asking people local to you where they go and what they pay.

The price will most likely be different for his state, but at least he can get an idea of what it's going to look like.

what they said.

but if you really want to know, i had it done for free.[got into an accident, so he threw in the trunk and bumper too, even if they weren't damaged] but usually my shop would charge around 350.

please take it to a shop unless you really really really think you can do it yourself but only do that if you are good at body work....

it will look like *** if you do it yourself...

the touch up paint usually sucks as well. Though I only have experience with the WB touch up paint and it sucks. sticks out a lot.

true. the reason why that is, is because they premix the clear with the paint, so it will not match up with the car color. if your really persistant on doing it yourself, you can get your paint code mixed at Automotivetouchup.com and shipped to you in a rattle can or buckets.

So I'm going with the temp option until I save enough for the body shop. What kind of adhesive did you use? I don't want to ruin my paint with the wrong product

Just buy some cheap used emblems, problem solved.
Don't even worry about ruining your paint with adhesive if you don't want the emblems, when they will finally weld the holes shut you will have to repaint the boot anyway.
