Egg damage!

Egg damage!
I got egged monday night, but it wasn't too bad, they just hit the rear of my car. The only problem I have is a circular kind of impact scratch mark where one of the eggs hit. The cracks are thin, circular, and white white when looking down at it. i bought some turtle wax heavy duty rubbing compound, but I thought it might be too harsh so I decided to hold back. Can anyone recommend any products and cleaning techniques to help fix my problem?

Can you feel the scratch with your fingernail? If so, you probably can't fix it yourself.
You need to figure out if the cracks/scratches are in the clearcoat or in the color. Sometimes an impact will cause cracks underneath the clearcoat... in which case, you can't really do anything about it short of taking it to a body shop.
Anyway, if it's in the clearcoat, try something mild like Meguiar's ScratchX first. Generally, you should start mild and work your way up to more abrasive only if necessary. Einszett Paint Polish (green can) might be your next step up, if the ScratchX doesn't work. If that doesn't get it, then try a rubbing compound.

I can feel the scratch unfortunately. So I guess I'm going to have take it to the body shop. How much do you think its going to cost? If i catch these bastards so help me God....

Oooh, sorry. I can't believe an egging did that much damage. Unfortunately, I really don't know how much it will cost. Maybe someone else can chime in. Do you have a picture of the damage? I think the best thing to do is take it in for an estimate and ask them if they have any recommendations on what to do.
You can still try some polish to round the edges of the scratch, which will make it reflect light less and therefore make it less noticeable. You're certainly not going to make it any worse by trying some rubbing compound. If you use rubbing compound, you'll need to follow up with a milder polish. If you can get it to where you don't notice it unless you really look, you may decide that's good enough - and save yourself some money.

Unfortunately I can believe it did that kind of damage, having experienced it first hand. About 10 yrs ago, I had a new 240SX that was egged the 2nd or 3rd day I had it. It had the same multiple specks ovoid-circular impact pattern, and it took the surface down to the primer through the clearcoat and color. Yeah, I was a little upset.
