Door closing problems

If you close the rear doors onto a "closed" front door, you will tear up the leather/vinyl on the rear door at the point where it touches the front door.

It seems kinda crazy that the car was designed that way, but we now have to live with it.

So, how about some type of protective sponge type apparatus that can be placed in the area of potential contact so as to protect that area.

If the dealers add the cushion on each door, will they pad the invoice?

Why would you close the front door and leave the back door open? Seems kind of an odd situation to get yourself into.

"damn todd, that doesn't look too good i wonder if the same thing would happen on the other side....."
