Ok......the stuff I think you are talking about is Eagle One's "wax as you dry".
Its the stuff you spray on a wet car just after washing....then dry as usual. It is true it doesnt last long, and should not be considered a replacement for conventional wax.
With that said, I think it is really nice stuff. The brand I mentioned comes out super slippery, and with a really nice gloss. Your wipers will work better, and the sunroof glass will shed water better.
I like it so much because it literally adds NO time to the overall washing and drying that you would normally do. I like it better than the "detailer" spays also. Make sure you Wax as normal and use that to "spruce up" after washes.....its really good for that. I'm really picky...and this stuff doesnt leave streaks or a haze......glass plastic rubber anything........I say go for it
