Debadging cost in So Cal

FYI. to remove the front Mazda emblem
is.. remove the front bumper , remove the MAzda badge., fill the holes, paint the wholes, respray the entire bumpar with Clear coat and reinstall = $ 475.00

to remove the 3 badges on the trunk , remove all 3, fill 4 holes, paint, then respray the entire Trunk lid with Clear coat = $425.00

Buff out entire car buff and repair any scratchs. = $125.00
did this to prep the car for the Clear bra.

all but the trunk lid and rear half of the roof is being coverd in clear bra. See https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...threadid=28880

are you saying that you have to pay $1000 just to prep the car from clear coat????? that's a joke. wouldn't it be cheaper to get the car repainted or replace to front bumper once in a while?

yes that was there quote to.. but after he saw the car he wanted to remove the entire front bumper so he could do a nice job .

And also to paint both the trunk lid and nose properly.

So it was about 300 bucks more than the 700 est but i also had him compleatly buff out the whole car and remove any scratches inorder to prep it for the clear bra .

all in all it is a good price. not cheap thow..
But anyone else out there that wants to remove your badges now you know what to expect.

you are not reading this thread right.

I had the car debadged. that cost me the $1000 to do it correctly and repaint the surfaces and reclear coat !

I had them buff out any scratches inorder to prep it for the clear bra.

There is no prep that you need to do . Elite Coatings washes the car and applys the stuff.

I was just being extra **** and getting my brandnew car buffed out after they did the debadging work.

theres 2 diffrant shops involved here. one is debadging the car, Auto Recon. go there if your going to get yours done in the L.A. area.

then Elite Coatings is doing the Clear Bra, 95% of the car ! not just the nose.

I'll bite, so how much does it cost to Clear Bra 95% of the entire car? I didn't think this was possible.
