I've been addicted for years to the scent of Griot's detailing spray on the exterior, and now their leather conditioner on the interior.

I also like their matt tire dressing, wheel well spray, claybar, natural wax, 3-stage polish, glass cleaner ..............

 

haha, so basically you love ALL Griot's products. One day when I have my own garage, it will look like Griot's garage =) For now though, I need to use up all of my existing products, which I have a spray bottle and wipes bottle each of the Lexol cleaner and conditioner. Lexol's stuff is pretty good, it was the first time I had cleaned/conditioned any leather, and it seemed to do the job well. It was a little greasy and shiny at first, but after it soaked in, it was nice.

 

Nice Huey. I have a few of their products, but mostly the entire lineup of PoorBoys. Just finished my car over the weekend before the cold comes in.

The process:
1. Wash with mild detergent
2. Clay bar
3. Rinse
4. Dry
5. PB SSR3 with heavy cutting pad (only in some spots where needed)
6. Wipe off
7. PB SSR1 with light cutting pad
8. Wipe off
9. PB Black Hole with polishing pad
10. Wipe off
11. Natty's Paste Wax blue by hand
12. Wipe off
13. PB EX-P for the final sealant by hand
14. Wipe off
15. Interior vacuumed, shampoo carpets, applied PB Leather Stuff on seats by hand rub, PB Natural Look Dressing on doors, panels, etc.
16. PB Bold N Bright Tire Dressing

 

So that's the secret you use to get your car looking so clean.

I actually 'reverted' to Ice this past weekend. I didn't have much time and wanted to get a quick post-wash sealant. More typically NXT Tech 2.0 or Griot's Best of Show carnuaba.

 

Huey52, you mix NXT with carnauba? Does ICE have synthetics in it too? I read that Griot's stuff doesn't work very well unless you remove all that synthetic stuff.

 

I don't mix NXT and carnauba. I typically use NXT for 'everyday' waxing during the season and carnauba prior to Winter 'storage' for extra hard protection.

I use Dawn dishwashing soap, and claybar, when transitioning from NXT to carnuaba and vice versa.

Ice is synthetic, as is NXT, so I've had no problems using them interchangeably, although again Ice is now a rarity for me.

Well, that would certainly do it, but in this instance I go for the el cheapo Dawn vs. Griot's. Heck, it's in the kitchen anyway.
